Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Wiki

A deep fan guide to Konami's 2D action-exploration return. Track Rose Belmont through burning Paris, seal bosses into Arcana, and plan whip, relic, and weapon loadouts before day one.

What Is Castlevania: Belmont's Curse?

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is an upcoming side-scrolling action-adventure from Evil Empire, with advisory support from Motion Twin, published by Konami. It is the 26th mainline Castlevania entry and the first traditional 2D title on the original timeline since Order of Ecclesia. The story is set in 1499 Paris, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse and 20 years after Curse of Darkness.

You play as Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades. She inherits the Vampire Killer whip, a cursed right arm, and a tarot deck that seals defeated bosses as Arcana spells. The map is a non-linear Metroidvania spanning the city, the catacombs, Notre Dame's spires, and Dracula's Castle itself — not a roguelike, despite the developers' Dead Cells history.
