Castlevania: Belmont's Curse
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Relics
Last updated: August 2026
Relics are the passive half of Rose's kit. Official copy says they trigger powerful effects through both offense and defense, and the PlayStation Blog hands-on says she can equip up to three. That cap is the whole theory: you are making a loadout, not collecting a museum. Plan it in the relic loadout builder.
Crypt Key and why chests matter
The one relic previewers actually named from gameplay is Crypt Key. It fully restores Rose's health and mana whenever she opens a chest. That turns every optional box into a flask. Combined with the starting three potions, it is the reason the first hour feels generous. If you find Crypt Key, your exploration path should greed every chest before a boss door. The catacombs walkthrough assumes you might have it for The Fallen.
Family's Grace and edition extras
Family's Grace is a relic bundled with the Midnight Edition, alongside Trevor and Sypha costumes. Konami has not published the tooltip. Until October 15, treat it as a paid third slot experiment, not as a required god roll. Standard Edition players should not stall a playthrough waiting for it. Compare bundles on the editions page if the relic is the only reason you would spend the extra ten dollars.
Other relics will drop through exploration. Official language is "combine equipment you discover." Expect attack-on-whip, defense-on-dodge, mana-on-heal, and movement-biased stones. Because you only have three slots, a pure damage relic that does nothing for exploration is competing with Crypt Key. In a Metroidvania, the movement or sustain relic usually wins until you are at a wall.
Slot planning for real fights
Against The Fallen, sustain beats damage. He is a skill check with a leap mix-up; extra flasks from chests matter more than a 8% whip buff. Against Joan of Arc, a relic that helps you recover after a slam or that refunds mana for explosion windows is more useful than a chest relic if you already emptied the tower. Death and Carmilla are unknown numerically, so keep one slot flexible.
Relics are also why the builds guide exists. A magic-forward Rose wants mana sustain. A whip-forward Rose wants anything that makes grapples safer. A tank Rose wants defense triggers. Three slots, seven weapon categories, fifteen-plus Arcana — the relic row is how those systems stop fighting each other. Do not fill it with the first three shiny objects and forget the menu exists.
