Rose Belmont — Castlevania: Belmont's Curse

Rose Belmont is the playable lead. Official profile: a new protagonist who bears Dracula's curse in her right arm, daughter of Trevor, a young vampire hunter who wields a variety of weapons in addition to her whip. English voice: Abby Trott. Japanese voice: Yui Ishikawa. Her trailer oath is the line the internet already quoted: "I am Rose Belmont, and I will hunt the night."

A Belmont who is also a Belnades

Gameplay sells the hybrid. She swings like her father and casts like her mother. The tarot deck is explicitly a leftover from Sypha, who died of Dracula's curse soon after Rose was born. The cursed right arm is visible in key art — a red, demonic limb on an otherwise heroic silhouette. Producer messaging frames the campaign as learning to control that curse rather than pretending it is not there.

She is not a secret unlock. She is the file. Trevor coaches from the sideline after handing over the Vampire Killer. That decision is the whole sequel: the hero of 1476 is 43, and the whip has a new owner. Combat systems on the combat hub are all expressions of that handoff.

How she plays

Slide, wall jump, and dodge are available immediately. Seven weapon categories keep her from being whip-only. Arcana turn every boss into a new verb. Cosmetics already announced include Alucard Style (pre-order), Trevor Style, and Sypha Style (Midnight Edition) — family cosplay as a bonus, not a gameplay fork.

Story-wise, a bishop called for Trevor, not Rose. Paris did not ask for a girl Belmont. The release trailer even jabs at that disbelief. The campaign is her answer. When you walk the Paris 1499 streets, you are watching a successor invent a style the clan has not used yet.
