Konami's August 24 English voice-cast trailer is the cleanest public look at Medusa in motion alongside Isaac, Carmilla, and Death. Watch it for silhouette and scale, then come back to the rules under the video. It is not a no-hit guide. It is the official reminder that she is in the same booth as the castle court.

What the gaze actually asks

Petrify means do not stare and do not stand still. Treat line-of-sight as the mechanic: slide under a beam the way you slide under The Fallen's Holy Cross, or whip off-axis so you are not in front of her face. A serpent body usually means a long hitbox along the floor. Jump or grapple when the coils sweep, then punish the recover with two or three melee hits, not a poem. Cursed Flame and Joan's explosion are safe in recover windows. Do not throw them into a beam windup.

If you die, farm XP on the last Paris or catacomb loop. Attack and defense still rise. Open chests if Crypt Key is on. The tank build is the honest answer if one look deletes a flask. A whip courier who already finished Holy Cross Works of Mercy has a better time if the room is full of holds. Bring the kit from The Fallen and Joan — you should have both on the preview path before a legendary name.

What you leave with

A petrification-beam Arcana, according to IGN. That card is a future puzzle key, not only a weapon. Register it in the Arcana tracker, tick the boss checklist, and look for statues or locked shafts on the castle map. If a later room only opens when something is frozen, that is this fight talking.
