Castlevania: Belmont's Curse
Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Dracula's Castle Walkthrough
Last updated: August 2026
Dracula's Castle is the title location, but it is not the tutorial. Konami places it in the heart of Paris as a manifestation, then makes you earn the front door through the city. This chapter of the walkthrough is more incomplete than the streets and catacombs because press sessions stopped at the first three bosses. What we do have is a boss roster, a biome promise, and a very clear design rule: late Castlevania rooms are ability-gated.

How the castle connects to Paris
Wikipedia and official copy both describe a non-linear map that includes the city and the castle together. You should not expect a hard cut to a new cartridge world. Fast travel and the auto-map will treat chapel, sewer, roof, and throne approach as one atlas. Use the castle map page as a biome checklist: gothic halls, familiar candles, and "vivid, refined" rooms that break from brown stone when the studio wants a palette shock.
The Vampire Killer remains the traversal spine. Super Castlevania IV-style swinging is the pitch, which means castle chandeliers, bell ropes, and outer walls are all whip real estate. If a shaft looks empty, look for a hold. If a door mocks you, you are missing an Arcana special action from a city boss. That is why sealing The Fallen and Joan of Arc is not optional flavor.
Confirmed castle threats
Carmilla is explicitly "awaiting Rose in Dracula's Castle," in a bloodstained dress, voiced by Dawn M. Bennett. Death is Dracula's right hand, scythe able to slice space, voiced by Aaron LaPlante. Medusa has a giant serpent body and a petrifying gaze, voiced by Melique Berger; at least one previewer already received a petrification-beam Arcana from her, so she may appear slightly before the deepest throne rooms. Isaac is a devil forgemaster with a 20-year grudge against Trevor, voiced by Liam O'Brien reprising Curse of Darkness.
Treat each of those fights as both a wall and a key. Official language is consistent: defeated bosses become Arcana, and Arcana grant spells or unique actions. If a castle clocktower is locked, the missing key is probably a tarot card, not a rusted item in a pot. Keep the boss checklist open as you go.
Build advice for the late map
Seven weapon categories exist. Do not marry the opening sword. Castle rooms will ask for reach, anti-air, and grapple variants. The weapons guide and builds page outline whip-forward, magic-forward, and sustain setups. Relic slots stay at three. Family's Grace is a Midnight Edition relic, so Standard players should plan around Crypt Key plus two exploration or defense pieces.
Count Dracula is the gravitational center of the story — Graham McTavish reprises the Netflix-era voice. The plot has not been fully spoiled, but the trailer already puts Rose in his throne language: she has come to destroy him like her father, mother, and their allies. Play the castle as a siege, not a speedrun. XP still matters. Works of Mercy still matter. A neglected tarot card is a neglected key.
- Revisit Paris roofs after every castle ability; the city is still part of the same map.
- Medusa's petrify and Death's space-cutting scythe are the two tells to learn on day one.
- Isaac is a character boss with history — read his page before you treat him as a random elite.
- Do not skip the Midnight Edition comparison if you care about Family's Grace in this biome.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the castle a separate level select?
No. It is part of the same non-linear map as Paris, with upgrades gating later halls.
Has the final boss been confirmed as Dracula?
Dracula is the lord of the castle and the narrative target. Konami has not published a complete endgame fight list.
